Two Business delegations from USA and China are currently in Sri Lanka, exploring business opportunities in the country.
Both teams met President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday on separate occasions.
The US delegation comprises executives from firms such as Boeing, Caterpillar, Marriott International, John Deere and Coca Cola.
The US delegation also attended a luncheon meeting in Colombo today, which was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
USA is Sri Lanka’s single largest export destination while China is becoming a leading donor of the country.
It was the Chinese government who funded the Hambantota port project, which was built by a Chinese firm.
