Bluescope Lysaght Lanka Private Ltd, one of the worlds’s leading steel solutions providers with offices and operations in 20 countries has recently signed a contract with a Denmark client to supply building structures for a major power house project. According to a senior official of the firm, the project execution is expected to bring in foreign exchange revenues of over US $1 million in to the island.
“The project is expected to be completed within three months and it will provide employment opportunities to over fifty people, mainly the skilled workers varying from high class engineers to welders and fitters,” BlueScope Lysaght Sri Lanka Country Manager, M. Vishwanath told

He said that Bluescope’s past records in carrying out major prefabricated building projects in the Western and the Eastern provinces in Sri Lanka has helped the company to win this power house project after a comprehensive evaluation process was carried out by the client.
“We are also presently in negotiations with clients in some of the African countries to supply building structures to them,” Vishwanath added.
