Plans are mootedt to resume work on the Colombo Outer Circle Road .The project will encourage foreign investors and also reduce costs of operating vehicles.
The construction work on the Outer Colombo Circular Road will resume soon. It would be a link between the North and the South, the Ministry of Highways revealed.
According to thesesources, the length of the road is 29 kilometres. The work would be completed in three phases. The first phase covers 10 kilometres. Ministry approval has been received for this project and the work will start in October.
The necessary arrangements to accelerate the work on the Colombo Outer Circle Road which had been hitherto delayed has been prepared.
The Government has already made the required allocation of funds.
