Rail Track to Link up Holy City of Kataragama, Sri Lanka

The public will soon be able to travel to Kataragama by train.

The construction work on the rail track up to Kataragama from Matara will begin next month, Minister of Transport Dulles Alahapperuma said at a ceremony in Hambantota

The Minister pointed out that construction of the rail track will be initiated next month on the directives of the President. Their aim is to operate the train beyond Matara to Beliatte.
